Can legumes cause bloating in lipedema, and could kidney beans bother me?
On days when I eat kidney beans, my abdomen bloats and my legs feel tighter too. I know legumes are healthy, but can they bother people with lipedema? Should they be cut completely, or is it about amount?

Kidney beans bloat me too. Chickpeas are even worse. Lentils seem okay if I eat a little.

I did not cut them completely. Soaking, cooking well, and keeping the portion small works better for me. I try to eat them at lunch, not dinner.

It is worse for me too if I eat them at night. Even the scale changes the next day.

I do not want to blame legumes, but some clearly bother me. I guess not every healthy food suits everyone.

Legumes can be nutritious, but in some people they may increase gas, abdominal bloating, and bowel sensitivity. This may relate more to gut tolerance, portion, preparation, and irritable bowel tendency than to lipedema itself. Instead of cutting them completely, amount, timing, and type can be adjusted. See lipedema and gut health.

Then I will not remove kidney beans completely; I will try a smaller amount at lunch. At night it seems to get worse for me.
