Should fruit be completely avoided when doing low-carb in lipedema?
I have become afraid of fruit. If I eat an apple, I think carbs; if I eat a banana, I think sugar. But when I cut fruit completely, I crave sweets more. How can fruit be balanced in lipedema?

I did not cut fruit completely. Small amounts of strawberries or blackberries work better. Bananas increase my hunger.

When I ban fruit, I go to chocolate. So it gets worse.

Same for me. A little fruit sometimes ends the sweet craving before it grows.

When fruit is demonized too, things get messy. Portion and context seem to matter more.

Fruit does not always need to be completely avoided in low-carb nutrition. Portion, type of fruit, total daily carbohydrates, insulin resistance, and sweet cravings should be evaluated together. Lower-sugar fruits may be more practical for some people. See which fruits can be eaten in lipedema.

I had started seeing everything as forbidden. This helped a bit.
