Why does leg pain in lipedema occur more in the evenings?

When I stand for long periods during the day, my legs feel extremely heavy in the evening. It is not just tiredness; they also hurt when touched. Is this expected in lipedema, or could it be something else such as varicose veins or lymphedema?

I do not track this only with the scale. I write down waist, hip, thigh, and calf measurements separately. It also helps to note which days I stood for a long time and which days the pain was lower.

Does it completely go away when you wake up, or is swelling still present in the morning? I think that distinction may be important.

I do not think every pain should be dismissed as lipedema. I had easy bruising, but my vascular status was also evaluated separately. If there is a one-sided difference, I think it should be checked by a doctor.

Short walks and avoiding staying in the same position for too long made a difference for me. I am not saying it completely removed the pain, but the day became more manageable.

Mine also gets much worse by the end of the day, but it goes down a bit in the morning. Does that mean it is not lymphedema? Now I am confused.

I have something similar. It changes from day to day, so I try not to judge the whole process from one day.

I would not explain every symptom only by lipedema. If it is one-sided, suddenly worse, red, or hot, I would take it more seriously.

Symptoms should be evaluated together, and new one-sided swelling, redness, warmth, chest pain, or shortness of breath should not be delayed. See lipödem belirtileri ve ayırıcı tanı.
