Why does leg swelling increase in the summer months in Lipedema?

When summer comes, my legs feel almost twice as heavy. Especially in the evening, the area above my ankles and calves feels fuller. Is this only related to heat, or is increased swelling in summer expected with lipedema?

Mine also gets much worse in summer 😕 especially in the evening, even sock marks become visible.

On hot days, I note water intake, salt, and how long I stand. Sometimes it looks like the same complaint, but the trigger can be different.

I have something similar. It changes from day to day, so I try not to judge the whole process from one day.

I would not explain every symptom only by lipedema. If it is one-sided, suddenly worse, red, or hot, I would take it more seriously.

Symptoms should be evaluated together, and new one-sided swelling, redness, warmth, chest pain, or shortness of breath should not be delayed. See lipödem belirtileri ve ayırıcı tanı.
